Just your average medieval royal family

Many scenes and quotes. The performances of Katharine Hepburn, Peter O'Toole and a supporting cast including Anthony Hopkins and Timothy Dalton among others are breathtaking. Historical accuracy wavers a little on things like dates, but being shot on location (in a medieval french castle) gives the film a much less sanitized feeling than all of Hollywood's previous attempts to recreate the period.
