Even though I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie, since there was a decent cast involved, I thought I might as well check it out. Well, unfortunately, it turned out to be another generic and boring Jason Statham action flick. What bothered me the most was how poorly written the damned thing was. Seriously, what was Sylvester Stallone thinking? First of all, even though you get to see some great landscape of Louisiana, most of the locals were displayed as some ignorant white-trash which was borderline offensive. Then, if the undercover cop wanted to lay low, why did he stay in Louisiana? Then, it was also rather ridiculous that the guy would keep some classified files in his basement. Concerning the cast, I was rather bewildered by the fact that James Franco would show up in something like that, especially to play such a boring meth-cooking loser. Concerning Jason Statham, well, at this point, I'm not sure if you can still call him an actor since he plays every single character always the same way. The only difference here was that he was wearing a pet the whole duration. Anyway, to conclude, the damned thing turned out to be seriously weak and I don't think it is really worth a look, except maybe if you are a die-hard fan of Jason Statham's work.
