Basically, since Meryl Streep is my favorite actress, I really had to watch this flick. To be honest, even though Streep was giving a solid performance as usual, I thought that Julia Child was actually a really caricatural character and I thought she was even rather annoying but then later on, she grew on me and I especially enjoyed the beautiful relationship she had with her husband. On the other hand, I have never been really crazy about Amy Adams. Indeed, she always plays some rather annoying and hysterical characters and here, once again, even though she toned it down a little bit,ย her character was was once again rather hysterical. Still, I have to admit that I really enjoyed the blogging though. Indeed, it actually reminded me when I started on Listal. Back then, I was making lists after lists but wouldn't get any votes or comments but then, I got my first vote and comment and now I'm ranked 27! I even have a list with more than 400 000 views (Top 20 most underrated movies and more...)! Still, this flick was ย rather flawed though. In my opinion, the main issue with this movie was that both stories were interesting and, even though it might have seemed like a good idea to combine them, it didn't really work and the end-result was even rather frustrating. Evenually, they ended up with two rather half-baked stories (pun intended). Anyway, to conclude, it was nothing great but I still enjoyed it and I think it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
