So, I recently watched the new Edgar Wright film, and not to my surprise, It was GREAT!
To start with, one of the most remarkable things of the Edgar Wright's movies is the great mix of both action and comedy, and Baby Driver isn't the exception. Unlike many action movies nowdays, the great direction and editing makes the car chases scenes feel fast and unique, without making difficult to follow or generic in someway, the same can say about the shooting scenes. All of these is accompanied by a Kickass soundtrack, that makes the right mode of fast paced thriller.
As for the story, although it's pretty simple and straightforward (besides for the little romance subplot), but is move in a very organic way and its well paced, with a pretty godd cast: They are a very charismatic group, very varied in personality, with good performances and sublime dialogues, and share a chemistry and contrast interesting enough to keep the film (example Buddy or the love interest). The only exception of this, would be the main villain, although it's not the main focus of the movie, it still pretty one-dimensional.
So as a whole, is far from been the best movie of the director, but still shines on its own as a kick-ass action movie with both comedy and drama well made, and it goes on one of my favorite movie of the year so far.

Así que recientemente vi la nueva película de Edgar Wright, y no para mi sorpresa, fue genial!
Para empezar, una de las cosas más notables de las películas de Edgar Wright es la gran mezcla de acción y comedia, y Baby Driver no es la excepción. A diferencia de muchas películas de acción en la actualidad, la gran dirección y edición hace que el coche persiga escenas sentirse rápido y único, sin hacer difícil de seguir o genérico de alguna manera, lo mismo se puede decir sobre las escenas de rodaje. Todo esto está acompañado por una banda sonora jodedora, que hace que el modo correcto de thriller de ritmo rápido.
En cuanto a la historia, aunque es bastante simple y directo (además de la pequeña subtrama romántica), pero se mueve de una manera muy orgánica y con un buen ritmo, con un reparto bastante bueno: Son un grupo muy carismático, muy variado en la personalidad , Con buenas actuaciones y diálogos sublimes, y comparten una química y un contraste lo suficientemente interesante como para mantener la película (ejemplo Buddy o el interés amoroso). La única excepción de esto, sería el villano principal, aunque no es el foco principal de la película, sigue siendo bastante unidimensional.
Así que en su conjunto, está lejos de ser la mejor película del director, pero sigue brillando por sí misma como una película de acción genial con la comedia y el drama bien hechos, y va en una de mis películas favoritas del año por ahora.
