"Dummy" was a movie I had never heard of, but found while browsing the shelves of my video store. I didn't know what to expect from the movie, since I didn't read the summary, but I am glad I watched this movie.
It is a good movie about a man who decides to pursue his dream of being a ventriloquist, and the challenges he faces in pursuing that dream (which are, admittedly, few).
As the story develops, we learn about more about the main character (who seems a little slow at the start of the film, but is revealed to be an intelligent man with a great sense of humour), his sister (both still live at home), his unemployment counsellor, his only friend from high school, and a bit about his parents.
The casting was well done for this movie, and the acting is excellent. The story is also well done, and I found myself drawn into the movie from the start. This is a great movie that people should really find the time to watch.
