A good movie

To be honest, it is another rather obscure feature and I wonder how I actually ended up watching the damned thing. My guess is that I decided to check it out because there was such an interesting cast involved (Alan Cumming, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Parker Posey, Phoebe Cates, Kevin Kline, John C. Reilly, Jennifer Beals, Gwyneth Paltrow). Anyway, apparently, the whole thing was some kind of pet-project for Alan Cumming and Jennifer Jason Leigh as they wrote and directed together this movie and they also played the main characters. This movie would be also the last appearance of Phoebe Cates, it was also her first movie in 7 long years. Anyway, concerning the movie itself, even though it was nothing really ground-breaking, I thought it was a decent watch. Indeed, you might wonder how it would have turned out to be if Alan Cumming and Jennifer Jason Leigh would have been a real life couple but, even so, the whole thing felt really genuine and I really liked the realistic approach they chose to use. To conclude, even though it was not a masterpiece, I thought it was not bad at all and I think it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
