A very average movie

To be honest, I have never been a fan of those parodic flicks but I thought I should give this one a try, especially since it was the last directing effort of Jim Abrahams. Indeed, Abrahams was responsible with the Zucker brothers for ‘Airplane!’, easily the most famous movie in this genre, and after reaching some box-office success with the ‘Hot Shots!’ franchise, it made sense that the guy would finish his career with another parody. It’s just too bad that the damned thing turned out to be so underwhelming. I mean, sure, I have to admit it, I did laugh a couple of times but, unfortunately,  the rest of the movie was just filled with some uninteresting, terrible and above all unfunny jokes. It was also rather sad to see once again Christina  Applegate involved in such a rather lame movie. Indeed, I always loved ‘Married with Children’ and even though she seemed to have a great shot when she moved towards the silver screen, she kept making some poor choices and her career turned out to be rather disappointing. Anyway, to conclude, I didn't like it and I definitely cannot recommend it but if you are a fan of this genre, there is a chance you may end up enjoying it more than I did.
