my number one movie, no doubt about it, watched it six to 20 times when i was fifteen when it played on a movie channel constantly, several times later, i spoke to the director a few years ago, the theme, the music, the totally aesthetic complete deco, i found the horse in brussels by accidence when they go out the subway back to life, and the brussels international expo of course, the hotel lobby itself is in Nice the director told me. It was inspired on a painting, i forgot the title for now, i know so many romantic and 19th century paintings i seriously get lost in it all. anyway, i wrote a three page review several years ago, but wiki somehow screwed up, hope i find it again.
