Review of Tormented

Gore and comedy is up for this entry in my 2016 October line up. I know the deaths are somewhat silly at times while others are brutal. It has a pretty decent young cast which is cool. I have heard of some of Jon Wright's other films, but I have yet to see them. This is the only film from Stephen Prentice. It's rated around average to below, but this never stops me. Let's hope this is my kind of entertainment.

That was actually pretty fun. The kills were glorious and creative except for maybe one that had just been amusing. The dark humor spread throughout was pretty amusing in the most messed up ways. The concept isn't entirely new, but they made this story their own. The ending was great. There is a mid credit scene that semi satisfied something I wanted to see.

I like that they make all the main group pretty much completely unlikable. Some of them might have like one thing about them that is likable. Really the only actually likable people are the ones outside of the main group. I like that this doesn't make you feel bad for the characters because many of them are horrible. I mean of course in real life I wouldn't cheer for this. I thought everyone played their roles well even the ones I have never heard of.

This isn't a movie with any good guys. It's a solid revenge story with dark humor spread throughout. While the characters are unlikable the actors portray them quite well. The deaths are pretty messed up and at times even a bit humorous. It has an excellent ending to wrap it up in a nice little bow. I would recommend this if you are in to British horror and dark humor.
