A good movie

Since I kept hearing some interesting things about this flick, I was really curious about the damned thing and I was quite eager to check it out. Well, even though it was nothing really mind-blowing, I thought it was still pretty good. Indeed, the directing was decent enough and, above all, I really enjoyed the performances delivered by the children involved. In particular, Will Poulter was just hilarious. It is probably thanks to this flick that he got his part in the third Chronicles of Narnia movie and, since then, he has managed to keep up a really decent career. It’s too bad that, towards the end, the whole thing was getting a little bit too melodramatic for my taste but it was not a big deal. Surprisingly, it would take Garth Jennings almost a decade to come up with a new directing effort and, even more surprising, his next directing effort would be ‘Sing’, an animated feature produced by Illumination studios (even though my daughter really loved this flick, I still have to see it but I’m not really convinced). Anyway, coming back to our main feature, to conclude, in spite of its flaws, the whole thing was really enjoyable and entertaining and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
