Since I kept hearing some interesting things about this flick (for example, it was apparently one of Stanley Kubrick's favorite movies), I was really curious about the damned thing and I was quite eager to check it out. First of all, by now, I have seen many movies starring Steve Martin (almost 30 features) but, to be honest, most of them turned out be actually rather worthless. However, the guy still made a few classics during his career and this flick was apparently one of them . Well, eventually, after I finally watched this movie, I turned out to be a decent watch but I canโt say I was really blown away by the whole thing though. I mean, I thought it was a good movie and there were definitely some funny scenes here and there but still I can't say it was really hilarious. I guess, it all depends if you like absurd humor or not. For example, according to Roger Ebert, the whole thing was not funny at all. Anyway, to conclude, even though it didnโt turn out to be one of my favorite movies, ย it is still a classic and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you are interested in Steve Martin's work.
