An average movie

Since this movie had a rather lame reputation, I wasn't expecting much but since it was available on Netflix, I thought I might as well check it out. Honestly, I do think that the whole thing actually had some potential, unfortunately, pretty much nothing did work, I'm afraid. The first thing that irritated me was this gimmick to have all the parents hating to have their children. Indeed, this gimmick is always rather cringe-inducing, especially when you think that the generation of my grandparents or before used to have often above 5 kids and, yet, in those movies,  when they have only have 2 of them, the parents seem to go through some hell. Then, the other thing that annoys me is that, ever since I had some kids, I always find it too easy to spot actors trying to play some parents when they don't have any kids in real life and this movie was not an exception. The next problem was that even though Jason Seger was a perfect choice,  on the other hand, Cameron Diaz was rather poorly cast. I mean,  does anyone believe that any guy would have some trouble to have sex with their wife, even 15 years later,  if she would look anything like Cameron Diaz? Even if she tried her best, it is obvious that the whole thing would have worked better with someone who looked 'normal' or at least not like a previous top-model, like Tina Fey  for example. Those were only the issues occurring during the first 10 minutes but the rest of the movie was not much better, I'm afraid. To conclude,  it was another comedy with a decent concept which turned out to be really poorly developed and I don't think the whole thing is really worth a look.
