An average movie

I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this movie but since it belongs to the Disney classics, I thought I might as well check it out. First of all, I find it rather odd that this movie has been included in this fairly prestigious list since there was only one short animated segment (which was by far the best part in this movie though). Anyway, basically, it was some kind of weak copy of ‘Mary Poppins’ (Julie Andrews even initially turned down the role of Miss Price) but the whole thing was just seriously tedious, I’m afraid. Indeed, first of all, for some reasons, I thought it would be a rather short feature but it turned out to be much longer than I expected and they could and should have removed at least 30 mins. Eventually, the only thing that really worked for me was the scene combining the live action with the animation, even if the characters felt recycled from ‘Robin Hood’. Aside from this sequence, unfortunately, pretty much everything else was seriously boring and the ending suddenly involving some Nazi Germans was especially misguided and finished to really ruin this flick. Anyway, to conclude, I really didn’t like this flick and I don’t think it is really worth a look.
