An average movie

To be honest, yesterday, I was actually planning to finally watch 'Whiplash' since it was soon to be removed from HBO but my daughter apparently wanted to watch something together so we ended up watching this movie instead. We had already watched the first installment last year and she was really eager to see this follow-up but I can't say I really shared her excitement. I mean, pretty much like its predecessor, I thought it turned out to be rather boring and I never cared about the characters and what they were going through. At least, Dennis was cute and some of the characters had some decent moments but most of the jokes were rather weak. Furthermore, like any other Sandler production, there was some kind of lesson to be learned, in this case, no matter what your children turn out to be, you should always love them which was rather shallow but I thought this whole idea was strongly diminished by the fact that, at the end, Dennis still became a vampire. Seriously, what was the point of the whole thing then? At least, I'll give you that, it wasn't worse than the previous movie but it wasn't better either. Anyway, to conclude, I really donโ€™t care much for this franchise and I don't think this sequel is really worth a look.ย
