A very good movie

Since I really loved 'Tropa de Elite', of course, I was quite eager to check this sequel. Well, eventually, I wasn't disappointed, that's for sure, and even though I think I still preferred the first installment, this movie was definitely a worthy follow-up. This time, instead of focusing on the war on drugs like its predecessor, they displayed the fight against the massive corruption in Brazilia showing that it goes all the way up in the hierarchy. Once again, not only it was an incredibly interesting feature but it was also a really entertaining nail-biting thriller. The only complaint I might have was the fact that the inclusion of the family life of the main character didn't work very well. Indeed, even if the main character himself tells us at some point that his main focus is his work and not his private life, it keeps popping up constantly during the whole thing. It didn't help either that his wife had remarried with another major player in this war adding some unwelcome personal conflict in the mix, ย a conflict which had not much to do with the main topic. But that wasn't a big issue as the whole thing was seriously spellbinding to behold. To conclude, ย it was an impressive realistic thriller and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
