Since this movie had some rather low ratings (like pretty much all the movies directed by Tyler Perry), I had some rather low expectations but since I was actually positively surprised by the first installment, I thought I might as well check this sequel too. Well, even though it was a slight step down from its predecessor, I thought it was not so bad after all. First of all, I have to point out that the massive cleavage displayed by Janet Jackson during the first half was a major distraction, maybe a welcome one but still. Furthermore, in the beginning, I was so annoyed by Angela's character who was more cringe-inducing than entertaining and the way Mike was brought back in the mix felt like a missed opportunity. Indeed, it would have been much more interesting if he would have acted exactly the opposite, he should have been friendly to Sheila and Troy, so that Sheila might wonder if she did make the right choice. Fortunately, after you get to hear that Patricia and Gavin were divorcing, the whole thing did start to take off and I thought it was fairly well handled. However, this conflict was solved with one of the most unconvincing death scenes I have ever seen. Anyway, to conclude, even though it was not as bad as I expected, it was still pretty weak though and I don't think it is really worth a look.ย
