ALONE AND ALMOST FORSAKEN
Firewatch is from developer Campo Santo and publisher Panic great example of an skilled debut game, which has executed well.
Game tells a story of an middle age man Henry, who takes this boring sounding summer job as an fire lookout in the middle of the Wyoming wilderness after experienced some hard life times together with hes wife, Julie. During the summer while working in peace, Henry can clear hes head and think the choices he have made in hes marriage and what he needs to undo for the sake of it by the end of the summer.
Henry is surrounded by these beautiful thick crown forrests, harsh and dry looking grounds and burning hot rocky mountains. Only friends what he have in this godforsaken land, is through walkie-talkie speaking supervisor Delilah and by choice, pet turtle who is pretty cute and which i named Turt Reynolds. Get it...!? :D
Relaxing and easy job turned to be harder when two teenage girls and unknown vandal start to cause troubles to Henry.
I complete the game in one sitting, beacuse i couldn't stop playing it's simple and smooth gameplay, interesting but average storytelling and dialogue between main characters, which is one of the best i've ever heard. Their jokes and chemistry were great and interesting to follow. I smiled all the time when they were talking to eachothers.
The graphics and lighting were the best, which gaved the game this beautiful indie kind of look and the score was so pretty sounding.
Course of the game keeped me hooked from beginning to the end. Those intense and thrilling final hours were one of the greatest moments in gaming i've ever experienced.
Sure it crashed few times and got stucked so i needed to start it over. Which game doesn't. But even so it's peaceful mood, unique look and skilled voice acting made this already one of the best games of 2016.
Impressive work and im definitely going to give it a second playthrough!
