A True Grind

Mendelson and Reynolds make a decent duo in this formulaic movie that has the usual frustrations that come with gamblers.  

It's a true grind, so at least the title is accurate.

Ryan Fleck does a fine job at the helm, but he had a lot of promise as a young filmmaker with 'Half Nelson' and 'Sugar'. He seems to be taking a step back here.
