When I say here that the manga is the superior version, I don't just mean over fma, but fma b wasn't nearly as good as the manga counterpart. The main thing that was so gripping about it was the story and characters. The manga has the great story and characters too! Except they are portrayed in a better more understandable manner. Also the manga did a better job of turning the humour into seriousness, where the anime seemed a little jumpy. Suddenly it's humour. Then someone you like dies. Then it's humour again. That being said, it is still an excellent anime, just because I like the manga better doesn't mean I can't appreciate how good this series is.
