A good movie

If I'm not mistaken, I think I saw this movie in the movie theater when it was released. Anyway, even though it is definitely not one of the greatest classics delivered by Disney, I have to admit that I always had a weak spot for the damned thing. Basically, it is one of these Disney animated features dealing with a very old tale and they gave it a comedic twist but, in this genre, I have seen much better (in my opinion, the best one is by far 'The Emperor's New Groove'  which is easily their most underrated feature). Indeed, in my opinion, the Gospel songs didn't mix at all with the Greek theme, in fact, none of the songs did appeal to me. Furthermore, in spite of focusing on Hercules's Labors which would have made for a great adventure, they focused on something quite similar but not really thrilling. And yet, I still liked the damned thing. Indeed, first of all, Megara was easily one of the most interesting female characters ever created by those guys but, above all, I just loved Hades. Indeed, James Woods was just pitch-perfect and this character is simply one of the very best Disney villains ever made. At least, he must be the most hilarious one. Anyway, to conclude, in spite of its flaws, I think it is actually a fun watch and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
