An average movie

I don’t know if you have noticed it but, sometimes, I watch some really obscure flicks and, sometimes, it is quite rewarding but, honestly, sometimes, it is pretty much a waste of time. In this case, I watched it mostly because Peter O'Toole has a small part in it but the rest of the cast (David Wenham, Jan Decleir, Derek Jacobi, Kris Kristofferson, Sam Neill, Tom Wilkinson) was pretty good as well. Honestly, during most of the duration, I seriously wondered how did they come up with such a story. I mean, it was so obscure, so unknown to me, I can’t say I really cared about the whole thing. Sure, the guy did a terrific work and maybe it was sufficient to develop around a story around his work but, to be honest, I’m not sure every inspirational stories are good enough to get a movie adaptation. A part from that, it was not bad at all, it’s just that I wasn't really interested by this true story and, at the end, I didn't feel I had really learned some vital information. Still, even though it is terribly obsure, it remains a rather well done historical drama, all the actors involved were pretty good so I guess it might be worth a look but don’t expect anything really amazing.
