Rutger Hauer's brilliant in this film, which is satisfying to say since it hasn't been said for decades. This time we get to see him in a no-holds-barred ass-kicking exploitation movie that was wrung about from the ho-hum effort of 2007's Grindhouse double-bill.
The coolest thing that came out of that double bill was the trailers and the strangest/still very cool thing was that two of these trailers actually becomes films, with 'Machete' somehow still getting money to have a sequel.
