An average movie

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this flick but since there was a really nice cast, I was quite eager to check it out. To be honest, I'm not at all a fan of those modern Shakespeare adaptations, Indeed, by now, I have seen at least 3 of them (this flick, 'O', and ‘Romeo+Juliet’) and none of them has really convinced me. However, I have to admit it, there were still some good things about this version. First of all, the cast was quite impressive (Ethan Hawke, Kyle MacLachlan, Sam Shepard, Bill Murray, Liev Schreiber, Julia Stiles, Steve Zahn, Jeffrey Wright, Casey Affleck) and they all delivered some solid performances. The directing was pretty good as well (by the way, I have noticed that even though Michael Almereyda had a rather prolific career during the last 25 years, I have never seen anything else directed by this guy). Eventually, at the end of the day, even though it was defintiely an interesting watch, I think the main issue is that I was rather bored the whole thing. Anyway, to conclude, even though it was nothing really amazing, I still think it is worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
