Since I really don’t like Tim Allen at all who must be one of the most underwhelming actors in the business, I wonder how I actually ended up watching this flick. Indeed, I have seen a few movies with this guy, most of them were pretty lame and this one was definitely not an exception. Seriously, he is basically playing the same guy in all his movies and, personally, I don't think he is funny at all. At least, the rest of the cast was actually pretty decent (Courteney Cox, Chevy Chase, Spencer Breslin, Kevin Zegers, Kate Mara, Rip Torn) and it was especially pretty neat to see a young Kate Mara. Anyway, even though the concept was not bad, it was just really poorly developed and I really had a hard time to care about the damned thing. In fact, a year before, they released ‘Sky High’ with pretty much the same concept but even though it seems to have a better reputation, it didn’t care much for this movie either (at least, they got Kurt Russel instead of the always lame Tim Allen). Anyway, to conclude, I think it's too bad because this movie had actually some potential but, at the end of the day, the whole thing was pretty weak and I don’t think it is really worth a look.
