This was an absolute riot. During the Baldur’s Gate 3 panel at MCM Comic Con Birmingham 2025, hosted by CJ Allan, the cast decided to switch things up. After doing what feels like every comic con on Earth since BG3 launched, CJ skipped the usual questions and threw them into a series of games — including “Bardic Inspiration” (their totally-not-charades charades).
The boys went first: Neil Newbon, Tim Downie, and Dave Jones, with Tim acting while Neil and Dave guessed. Solid showing… respectable… fine.
Then the girls stepped up: Devora Wilde, Jennifer English, and Aliona Baranova... and absolutely obliterated the boys’ score. Devora was acting, Jennifer and Aliona were guessing, and the three of them were so synced up it looked supernatural. As Devora put it afterwards, “It’s like we share the same brain cell.” Even Neil can be heard in the background yelling, “What?! HOW?!”
Devora’s reaction at the end... hysterical laughter, total disbelief, and pure competitive joy... capped off what might be the funniest panel moment I’ve seen in ages.
