China’s New E-Commerce Ad Hack: People Film Green-Screen Clips, AI Turns Them into Premium Promo

This is the most “2026” advertising workflow I’ve seen.

The raw footage is almost comically simple: a person stands at home in casual clothes, holding a product in front of a green background. Minimal movement. No makeup. No performance. Often they don’t even open their mouth — they just shift poses while the clip runs.

Then AI does the rest:
• replaces the background with a clean, polished set
• generates a professional voiceover
• adds AI lip-sync so it looks like they’re actually speaking
• upgrades the person’s appearance: outfit, hair, makeup, lighting
• turns a “lazy green-screen take” into something that looks like a real promo spot

What you’re watching is basically the next step of UGC ads: humans provide the physical proof (the product is real and in-hand), and AI supplies the performance and production. It’s faster, cheaper, and infinitely scalable — which is why it’s spreading so quickly.

The real question isn’t “can it look good?” It’s “how long until every marketplace feed is 80% AI-generated presenters?”
