Camilla Freeman-Topper, CAMILLA AND MARC Creative Director:
"I was 11 years old when my mother died of ovarian cancer. That was almost 30 years ago. And in that time, survival rates have barely changed. Last year, we launched Ovaries. Talk About Them, and we raised $225,000. Every cent raised brings us that much closer to an early detection test. That means our mothers, our sisters, our best friends, my daughter's future will look different. Soon as we launched the campaign last year, the amount of people that came forward and said, "We didn't even know ovarian cancer was a thing." They thought they could just get a pap smear and that was it for the year. It's not the case at all, and that's the problem with ovarian cancer."
