You'll have a Yabba Dabba Doo time, except that song didn't come around until 1962. Instead, in this video you get the Season 1 "The Flintstones" theme like it just came out of the recording studio (but it didn't). That theme was called "Rise and Shine" - and it is definitely a familiar theme, as it was used throughout the run of the show as a 'cue track', usually to end a show if it fit. But you probably didn't know the theme song had lyrics (written by Bill Hanna, of course) AND it was sung by the "Flintstone TV Cast", however, the only voice I can discern is Bea Benaderet - and a leading male voice who knows how to sing on key (unlike Alan Reed who is not or barely even heard in this 'cut'). If you can believe it, the source of the "Original TV Cast" singing was on a relatively rare 78 rpm 6" children's record released by Gala Goldentone Records, full of scratches and LOTS of noise. Finally, you get "Fred.", a short collage of Hanna-Barbera artist and character designer Ed Benedict's early model drawings of Fred Flintstone (they have a filter applied, BTW), underscored by one of the numerous music cues composed by H-B musical director, Hoyt Curtin.
