"Matcha & Vanilla" stars Qyoko Kudo (Apple+ "Monarch: Legacy of Monsters") and Tomoko Hayakawa as Ai and Yuki, a long-term lesbian couple living in the closet in Japan's traditional society. When Yuki is diagnosed with terminal cancer, they must fight against their family, the hospital and society in order to stay together until the end.
Qyoko Kudo and Tomoko Hayakawa previously starred together in my short film, "Silence". Qyoko starred in "An American Piano", and Tomoko Hayakawa starred in "Pieces of 8".
The film also features performances from Adam J Yeend @SB0780(An American Piano, The Last Anomaly), Robyn Loau @RobynLoau(The Last Anomaly), and Elan Rie @niji_limbo (Lost Hope).
