Karen Duffy is bold in black at George Clooney AFI event

She had a thriving career as an MTV VJ in the Nineties. But then Karen Duffy was diagnosed with a rare form of the disease sarcoidosis called neurosarcoidosis. Her brain and spinal cord were affected, leaving her partially paralyzed. So it was nice to see the 56-year-old star looking healthy when she attended good friend George Clooney's Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Film Institute at the Los Angeles' Dolby Theater on Thursday.
