Why Journalist Noor Tagouri Made Me Cry | Thank You Notes

You might know Noor Tagouri from her documentaries: "The Trouble They've Seen: The Forest Haven Story" and "Sold in America." Noor is an award-winning young journalist who I really admire — and she recently surprised me with a thank you note, sharing how my work on TODAY and CBS News inspired her as a girl to dream of filling the anchor chair. “For years, I dreamed of following directly in your footsteps,” she told me. “I wanted to be the first woman in a hijab to anchor the news on an American network. I knew it was possible because of women like you.” Her letter meant the world to me. Thank you, Noor!
