In 2012, drumming machine Shannon Lucas (ex-BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, ex-ALL THAT REMAINS) shocked the Heavy Music world when he announced that he was leaving THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER in order to open a tattoo shop with his wife right outside of Richmond, Virginia.
Last year, Lucas returned to the Heavy Music scene and tracked drums on BATTLECROSS's latest album 'War Of Will' (available now via Metal Blade Records). Ever since then Lucas has been one of Battlcross's touring drummers.
Right before the New Year Battlecross took over Irving Plaza in New York City as direct support for the almighty GWAR! On December 27, 2013, we ran into Lucas and sat him down for an in-depth exclusive interview! During the conversation, Shannon explained in detail why he had to took an extended break from the music business.
