Writer Peter Harness, director Craig Viveiros and actor Eleanor Tomlinson visit the BFI Southbank to talk about their adaptation of H.G. Wells's classic science fiction story.

This thrilling three-part series, written by Peter Harness (Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, Doctor Who), offers a series of firsts: this is the first British television adaptation of H.G. Wells’ classic novel, and the first version to be set in London and the home counties during the Edwardian period. The War of the Worlds follows George (Spall) and his partner Amy (Tomlinson) as they attempt to defy society and start a life together. When they are caught up in the escalating terror of an alien invasion, they have to fight for their lives against an enemy beyond their comprehension...
