Is Shenmue 3 worth it? 19 years is a long time, plenty of time for those once revolutionary ideas and features to get rusty. Thankfully, our Shenmue 3 review thinks not. Well, some of the ideas are a bit iffy - Shenmue 3 fighting system is a little flat, and it lacks the innovation of those earlier games - but it has the same heart, and that’s what counts. Matthew breaks it all down with his Shenmue 3 PC gameplay - pretty much spoiler free, as we wouldn’t want to ruin a story you’ve been waiting 19 years for.
This Shenmue 3 test took us exactly 30 hours - you could do it faster if you cheese money making techniques and skip the side quests, but you’d be missing lots of the charm of the game. We’ve heard reports of some people playing for upwards of 100 hours, which is a very different answer to how long is Shenmue 3? If you’ve waited this long, why rush, eh? The game doesn’t try to rush you, so we didn;t try to rush this Shenmue 3 verdict.
