Edits of the opening title sequences to Miller/Boyett's Getting By, which show how they would have been shortened for syndication, had the series lasted long enough. Getting By ran on ABC's TGIF lineup (at 9/8c) from March until May of 1993. It then returned in September 1993 on a new network, NBC, where it originally aired on Tuesdays after Saved By the Bell: The College Years; it only lasted one more full season before ending in June 1994. Since two different intros were used for each of its two seasons, a few different arrangements are toyed with.

First, we have a 27-second version of the first season intro, which in its longest form, was only over 40 seconds (especially short for a Miller/Boyett series during its network run). Second, we have the first season intro with the complete second season theme, which could have been used for the first season episodes in syndication--other shows that have changed their themes within the first four years of their runs often plaster over early themes and visuals with those of the current or later elements (i.e., Family Matters substituting "What A Wonderful World" for "As Days Go By" on its 1989 episodes in syndication). Often, this is because the distributor feels that the later opening better identifies the show's marketability, and so there won't be any confusion of what show they're watching. Finally, we have an edited version of the second season intro with its proper theme.
