Alex Taylor, blind since the age of two, dreams of running for his school’s track team. His father, Geoff, is hoping to find a student running partner that can keep up with Alex and help him qualify for cross-country. Brad Coleman spends most of his time running from the law. When Brad is caught in a robbery attempt, Geoff makes a deal to keep him out of jail and back in school. He pairs the two boys, and despite a rocky start because of their many differences, an unlikely friendship forms.
