A cocktail of Fire and Blood, Flamed Mezcal, a Toast to the Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen. Maybe the best cocktail I've ever invented by the way...

This week I'm toasting Daenerys Targaryen, First of her Name, the Unburnt, Stormborn, Mother of Dragons, Mysha, Khaleesi of the Grassless Sea, the Prince that Was Promised. Well, I think so at least, at least as far as who The Prince that Was Promised is going to matter. See, the Prophecy of Azor Ahai reborn doesn't actually say that they're going to do any winning or battling against the great Other or the Night King or the White Walkers, it only says that Azor Ahai will be reborn to reforge the sword Lightbringer. That's it, once the weapon is back, prophecy over. So in essence I think this particular prophecy, that so many characters and fans have spent so much energy chasing, was fulfilled to completion in season 1/ book 1. Daenerys performed a straight up miracle when she birthed three dragons in her accidental blood sacrifice with Khal Drogo and Mirri Maz Duur and the dragons are in fact Light Bringer, the sword of fire. At the very least, do you expect a literal sword of fire to be a BIGGER deal than the dragons? We've seen a few very magical flaming swords already, they don't seem to matter ALL that much. That's my take on this anyway. So I wanted to toast and honor the one true queen Daenerys Targaryen with a cocktail all her own, it's smokey and salty and lemony for reasons I outline in the video and it's frankly one of the best things I've ever drank. Also it involves using a flamethrower.
The Prince that was Promised
• one egg white
• .75 oz. -or- 22 ml. Simple Syrup
• 1 oz. -or- 30 ml. lemon juice
• 2 oz. -or- 60 ml. creme de mezcal
• 2 dashes 20% saline solution
• dry shake
• shake again
• pour into coupe
• garnish with angostura flamethrower
