Vincent Zhao Wenzhuo is a Chinese martial artist most well-known for taking Jet Li’s place as Wong Fei-Hung in Once Upon a Time in China 4 & 5 as well as portraying Beggar So in “True Legend”. Having studied martial arts at the Beijing Sport University, Zhao was one of the university’s best Wushu athletes developing a particular mastery of the Chen and Yang styles of Tai Chi. After going on to win gold and silver medals in many national wushu championships, Corey Yuen offered him the role of the villain in the 1993 film “Fong Sai-Yuk” which also starred Jet Li as the titular character. This movie kick started his acting career and Zhao has appeared in numerous films and television series since then. Here’s a compilation of my favorite Vincent Zhao fight scenes.
