Marat Safin, Andy Roddick and Fernando Goznalez would've been proud if they could annihilate/demolish/destroy a racket like Grigor Dimitrov did at the 2016 Istanbul Open. Except for the win against Grigor, Diego Schwartzman accumulated some other great wins in the course of this week over Facundo Bagnis, Bernard Tomic (first seed), Damir Dzumhur (who's hitting great form) and Federico Delbonis (in the semifinal). The final match of the TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open was full of drama as Dimitrov and Diego broke each other 8 times only in the first set. Dimitrov was leading 7-6 5-2 and 15-30 on Diego's serve but couldn't match Diego's level both physically and mentally. At the end of the match Dimitrov lost his nerve, smashed 3 rackets and lost the match after a game penalty. It's a second very tough loss in an ATP250 final in 2016 for Grigor Dimitrov. Victor Troicki saved a match point against Dimi in the astounding final of the Apia international Sydney tennis tournament earlier this year. In 2015 in Istanbul Open Dimitrov lost in the quarterfinals to Pablo Cuevas while Diego Schwartzman came back against Santiago Giraldo from 0-6 0-2 (and only 7 points won) in the quarterfinals and almost defeated the great Roger Federer in the semis.
