Unissued / Unused material -

Title reads: "Big Razing Job. Landmark Demolished In San Francisco". American voiceovered newsreel material.

San Francisco, California, United States of America (USA).

GV Exterior of building which was the Palace of Fine Arts. CU Masonry around palace. VS Demolition of palace building with a large weight on the end of a crane cable smashing it to the ground.

The Palace of Fine Arts was built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition and was only built to last for a few years. It is being replaced by a replica being built to last much longer.

(Comb.F.G.) Old record suggests that material dates from around 28/10/1964.
