Hey guys! Thanks so much for checking out my new song! This is actually a very OLD song that I wrote years and years ago when I was first trying my hand at songwriting. (I wrote poems and short stories and bits of music my entire life, but I wrote this song once I made the decision to take songwriting more seriously. Up until this point, I hadn't believed I could actually write music. This was one of the events in my life that helped me believe I could-with the right inspiration). So this is pretty much the first fully formed pop song I ever wrote. (Please don't judge it too harshly!) I wrote it for my then boyfriend, now husband, and even though looking back on it now I feel like this one sounds a bit ameture (because it was!), it has always stuck with me, and I've always wanted to revisit it and record it professionally and release it out into the world. I really love the melody, and I think it's also extra special to me because it was the start of my own real life love story with my real life prince! This was originally written as a Valentine's Day gift all those years ago, but I revisited it this year and made this version as a gift for my husband for our anniversary (which was in September. I gave him the track then). But I also wanted to share it with you guys so you can hear this special little song, and also see where my music started and where my songwriting journey began. This is being posted shortly before New Year's, so I'm hoping this represents fresh starts and new beginnings as we open up a new chapter in our lives. I'm writing all new music now that I can't wait to share with you all-stay tuned, and thanks so much for coming on this journey with me! I love you guys! xoxo!
