This little film was shot with the Sony A7R II, I'm officially a Sony fanboy, the camera is amazing and has re-ignited my passion for video!
Setup and settings:
Shot in 4k/24p
Zeiss Milvus 50mm F/1.4
1/50th shutter, F/5 aperture, Native ISO800 for Slog2 (PP7)
Set the camera once and didn't touch the settings to create a consistent look throughout the whole shoot!
I like this location a lot because of the symmetry in the background, it was almost perfect!
Black & White was always part of the plan, I listened to the song 100 times before shooting and had a pretty good idea of the look, the movements and the jump cuts, it really helps to have a plan before going into your projects. I wanted to keep the editing simple and it all worked out well, except for the armor shoulder thingy, which kept falling off, so we ditched it! You live and you learn.
Black & White conversion was done with FilmConvert in Adobe Premiere. I truly love how easy FilmConvert makes my workflow, sure, there's not a TON of selection for film emulsions but who cares, it has the ones I love :)
