The maker of such acclaimed documentaries as “The Civil War,” Ken Burns is now set to release the 10-part series “The Vietnam War,” which took him a decade to make. “This is tough stuff, but it’s necessary stuff,” Burns tells TODAY’s Matt Lauer, because contemporary “hyperpartisanship” is rooted in still unresolved national divisions over Vietnam.
