There are many racers on the c64 which wish they could be as good as the 1984 original conversion of the 82 arcade game, so lets take a look.

Yes, Its been 2 years in the making. This video was one in a huge pile of vids which were unused from Series 1. When I upgraded my ripping software later, I found I no longer had access to those files. Very recently, I figured out a way to rescue them, so here they are. This game was played unpracticed and live on the day, and no cut-aways due to me having the joystick in the wrong port. I was surprised I still made Pole Position after that error, but PP is given within a 58 second lap, and I made the qualifying in 55 seconds. Perhaps not as smooth as the Atari 800 version, and quite low res, but its fast.
