Mexico City hit hard by water shortages

More than two million people have been affected by water shortages across Mexico’s capital.

Ageing infrastructure and a booming population are forcing people to live along the hillsides around Mexico City as they are dependent on water that is driven in on trucks.

There are also fears of more taps running dry as the hottest time of the year approaches.
