Hundreds of child soldiers have formally put down their arms in the Philippines.

This happened after the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, the country's largest armed group, agreed to end recruitment of children as part of a peace plan with the UN.

The first in a series of disengagement ceremonies took place in February; the group will eventually disengage more than 1,800 children, according to UNICEF.

Al Jazeera's Jamela Alindogan reports from Camp Nusa in Lanao del Sur in the Philippines.
