"The World Is a Ghetto" is a single by the Geto Boys from the Original Gangstas soundtrack. The song also appeared on the group's sixth album The Resurrection.
Produced by Mike Dean and N.O. Joe, the song was the Geto Boy's first charting single to feature the classic lineup of Scarface, Willie D and Bushwick Bill since their 1991 breakthrough "Mind Playing Tricks on Me". To date, "The World Is a Ghetto" remains the Geto Boys' last charting single, peaking at 82 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The Resurrection is the sixth album by the Houston, Texas gangsta rap group known as the Geto Boys. The album was released in 1996 after the Geto Boys reunited after a 3-year breakup. It is considered to be one of the group's most critically praised albums, and the first of a one-two punch of creativity.
