Next Questions — Vera Van Erp

NEW YORK — Vera Van Erp has brain. Not just any brain, mind, a fashion brain. Vera’s style sense that has long made her a favorite amongst street photographers is perhaps the most visible indicator of this brain of hers, but her intelligence and craft are manifest in other ways that become apparent only a minutes into conversation. Hailing from the Netherlands, Vera got her modeling start as a Louis Vuitton exclusive in the Fall 2015 ready-to-wear season. At the time, she was 20-years-old, and had already studied at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, and really was ready for a challenge. “I really knew, I’m going to go for this, I want to do this, and I want to do it well.” Thus began Vera’s foray into modeling, which has garnered her an advertising campaign for Céline by Juergen Teller as well as the forthcoming fragrance campaign for Gucci Guilty. Successful as Vera’s career to date has been, the Dutch beauty has her sights set on playing an even more expansive role in the world of high fashion perhaps one day as an art director or a fashion editor of a magazine. Whichever roles Vera assumes in the coming years as a result of her achievements as a model, success will no doubt follow thanks to her beauty and of course her brain.
