KOMONO - Time in the Oasis

There is a place where time stands still and vintage Hollywood glamour is alive and well. Where mid- century modernism bakes under a glittering sun as stars and starlets find refuge around hotel bars and sparkling pools. Time can’t seem to cross the sprawling desert and rugged mountains to bother this pastel oasis, a refuge for self-reflection and rejuvenation immersed in playful design.
Heat blankets the town slowing the pace of life to a crawl and you can almost hear Frank Sinatra crooning as a tuxedoed barman pours Manhattans behind a leather-tufted bar. The stillness of the air, the starkness of the landscape and the proliferation of reflecting pools make Palm Springs the chosen escape for movers and shakers to stop, breathe and collect their thoughts.
