Sigma have revealed the video for their new single featuring Ella Henderson, âGlitterballâ. Shot on location in Ibiza, the video follows Joe and Cam as they show two young clubbers a different side of the White Island, beach hopping in a 4x4 before ending up on their own private boat party. Warning: this video may induce severe holiday FOMO.
âGlitterballâ follows the worldwide hits âChangingâ (featuring Paloma Faith), âHigherâ (featuring Labrinth), and âNobody To Loveâ, their first No.1 single that gained them two BRITs nominations.
Earlier this year, Sigma (aka Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie) unveiled their new live show in Australia and New Zealand, returning to the UK for a sold out debut live tour that hit London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Brighton. The pair also recently performed at this yearâs BAFTAs, following Decemberâs performances at the BBC Music Awards, and the Christmas Day edition of Top Of The Pops.
Currently in the midst of a riotous festival season, Sigmaâs forthcoming shows include Glastonbury, Hideout, EDC, T In The Park, Creamfields, Pukkelpop, V Festival, and many more, plus dates across the Ibiza season at Together at Amnesia, and Ibiza Rocks.
Since the release of her debut, million-selling single âGhostâ, Ella Henderson has received two BRITs nominations for Best British Female and Best British Single, and seen her debut album âChapter Oneâ hit No.1 in the UK and reach Platinum status. Ella has since released three further smash hit singles including âGlowâ, âYoursâ and the recent âMirror Manâ. In the US, her album hit No.11 on the Billboard charts with âGhostâ selling over a million copies. Ella will embark on her debut headline UK tour for October and November, with two dates at the iconic London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.
âGlitterballâ was co-written by UK songwriting giant Wayne Hector (who also co-wrote âChangingâ and âHigherâ for Sigma).
Sigma were the only group in 2014 to have back-to-back No.1 singles in the form of âNobody To Loveâ and âChangingâ (featuring Paloma Faith), with both shifting over 100,000 copies in their first week. Sigma have now sold 1.75 million singles worldwide in just 10 months, gone Platinum twice in the UK (âNTLâ and âChangingâ) and Gold for âChangingâ in Germany, and Benelux, and Platinum in Australia and New Zealand (âNTLâ).
Outside of their own releases, Sigma have shored up their reputation as an in demand remix duo, with mixes for the likes of Kiesza (âHideawayâ), Route 94 (âMy Loveâ), Clean Bandit (âExtraordinaryâ), DJ Fresh (âDibby Dibby Soundâ) and DJ Zinc (âShow Meâ).
Leeds University alumni â alongside Rusko â Sigma met while balancing raving and studying, working in record shops and promoting events to top up their student loans. Early releases with Hospital Records, Viper, Bingo and DJ Freshâs Breakbeat Kaos, as well as their own Life Recordings, quickly marked them out as producers to watch, while remixes for Eric Prydz, Ellie Goulding, Stylo G and Sway began to take them to a wider audience.
